+It's destructive to tell (most likely younger) people "oh yeah, we all go through that phase" or to normalize growth or maturity. It removes the significance of the betterment of oneself and whether it is a development everybody goes through or truely a above average enlightenment, normalizing it will most likely destroy any desire to further it.

+It should be our goal, not our fear, for the generation whom follow us to walk a better path.
