Analytical people were able to learn from their surroundings with only a glance. Things like the kinematics (motion) and phyical forces were instantly understood by them. This understanding allowed them to instictually know where things would be, a sort of short term precognition. In extreme cases, some were able to influence the motion of objects they could perceive, also known as telepathy.
