For most people thinking about things that need to be done is like dribbling a basketball. They can keep pushing it down and it bounces back up and casually reminds them here in there and maybe they get a little bit done
For me it's like a basketball is thrown at my face. I have to either catch the ball, get completely out of the way, or if I fail to do both, it hits me in the face.
